Denise Hamler


Denise Hamler is the director of the Green Business Network at Green America formerly Co-op America, established in 1982, it is the oldest, largest and most diverse association of socially and environmentally responsible businesses with 5,000 businesses. As co-founder of Green America,120,000 consumer members she has held senior positions in the marketing and publications divisions. She serves as the publisher for the organizations publications, National Green Pages, Real Green and Green America Quarterly.

In 2002 she launched the successful Green Festivals, a joint project with Global Exchange. She currently serves as the Director of the Green Festivals. She also produces the Green Business Conferences, biannual conferences for the green business sector.

As a community activist Denise has raised over 250 million dollars for her underserved, diverse, neighborhood outside Washington DC. Her current board positions include: Social Venture Network AND Green Festival.
